The Big Idea is a program that may offer meat, fruits and vegetables, refrigerated and frozen items and/or dry goods along with other community resources. The next Big Idea giveaway will be May 21 from 4:30-5:30 p.m. Please bring bags to take food home. Additionally, the Blackhawk Closet will be set up with all sizes of clothing, shoes, coats, hygiene and cleaning products The Blackhawk Closet will also be accepting donations. Please park by and enter door #7. All families with a child in Cowan Schools are welcome.
RETURNING TRANSFER STUDENTS: There are approximately 50 returning transfer students at the elementary who have not completed a 2026-2027 Transfer Form. Transfer applications are located on the school website and must be completed by every transfer student each year. Please be sure to visit cowan.k12.in.us to complete the digital form or to download a printable form. Forms are also available in the school office.
